This is a simple small lock n lock container hidden along the trail at the top of Lincoln Mountain Open Space in Douglas County.

This is a tribute to our black & white APHA (paint) mare, Bunny, a family member from 1990-2011. She was born on our 1st "ranchette." We successfully showed her in NRHA Reining events where she won many ribbons and prizes. She had an awsome, natural sliding stop. We then bred her and she had a filly. When we stopped showing, she became a safe trail horse that anyone could ride. Sadly she contracted heaves (RSV or asthma for horses) at 15. We nursed her through her attackes until the age of 21.

Lincoln Mountain is a wonderful place to ride, hike, take your dog for a walk, or mountain bike. This location has an inspiring view of the whole Front Range where geography afficianados can identify every peak to astound their friends. Look below and there is a surprising view of a small water ski lake called Ski Nautique. Something unexpected in an area like this.

I hid this several years ago and never posted it so the container has lost 3 "ears" but the log is in a baggie and seems to be staying dry.

Picked this one up while doing a short hike in the Lincoln Mountain Open Space. The cache was fun, but I have to admit the cache description made me sad. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find, TFTC.

A nice walk up here, might have to see if Muggle Mimi wants to come up here this next spring or summer. Appreciate the hide!

It was a bit chilly and windy today but I really wanted to do some caching. I hiked more than 8 miles around Lincoln Mountain Open Space Park and then found a few more on the way home. I made the find here at 2:29:00 PM. Thanks for the cache and for helping make today an even nicer day!

I understand what it's like to lose a loved animal! My condolences. I thought the classy bunny was you! Thanks for the cache.

Great spot to take a break and enjoy the view! There was a group of about 20 horses that we met later, but we had the top loop to ourselves today. TFTC!

It was so nice to get out for a hike today after the cold weather. This was my first trip up to the plateau and the views were great. The container has one clip left but is doing OK. Thanks for placing a cache for us to enjoy.
