This is a night cache. Many parts of this cache can be dangerous if you don't follow these instructions.

What to Bring:

Flashlights(You want a strong one that can pick up fire tacks from a long way.)

Extra batteries for your flashlights

Boots(You may be walking through some mud.)

Bright clothing(Muggles are less worried if you look like your not trying to hide.)

Identification(In case muggles come up to you.)

A friend

Safety:

Please bring a friend and tell someone where your going and when you will be back. You don't want to twist a leg and be stranded. You will be walking along the water, so make sure not to soak your shoes. THERE IS NO NEED TO WADE THROUGH WATER TO FIND THE CACHE. When you reach the final be very carful. You know you are at the final because there will be 4 tacks in a circle. Watch out as there is a steep drop off into water. Make sure not to fall in.

How to find:

Make your way to the cords. There you will find the first fire tacks. They start at the table. Keep following the fire tacks until you reach the cache. Keep heading in the direction it points you if you can't find any tacks. When you get to the final reach up and grab the cache.

My favourite cache so far! Really immersive. We saw the final location before coming to the end, and thought there was no way to access, but just had to keep searching for more tape to lead us there. TFTC!!

Wow! First off, I love night caches. I have two in the Denver metro area. This one has a great final and creative placement! The path to the final could use a few more markers. Because of our wandering, looking for the trail, it took us about an hour and a half. A bit much for a 2.5. TFTC!

Well.... this took us an hour and half. The tacks seemed kinda random and we were using our geosenses a lot more than our eyes. Thanks for this patience-testing cache!!

TFTC Never having done a night cache before I wasn't sure what to expect and had quite an adventure in the process of finding it. An encounter with a homeless person who was trying to blend in with the background and the police who were looking for a young boy who may have been lost were a couple of the more notable encounters. A flashlight is a must because the 'fire tacks' are hard to see without one. Also, there is some bike traffic and it is good to be visible to them so they don't run into you. Even with a hint from the CO this proved to be a challenging course to follow as the 'fire tacks' don't always point in the direction of the 'trail'. In addition it probably wouldn't be a great idea to do this one during a rain storm.

DNF I followed the few 'fire tacks' I could find, both at night and during the day as far as 287 but failed to find the cache.
