Happy Ultimate Pi Day!

This is one of the themed releases for the once in a lifetime day!

3/14/15 @ 9:26:53AM

How neat is that?!

The cache is not at the listed coordinates, but you can get pie here! Mmmm...

This cache will test your skills with volumes of cones using Pi. Pi = 3.14159 and you will need to round up or down to the nearest whole number.

Consider the following mathematical equation:

You can assume the following:

N38 A.B And W104 C.D

A: Calculate the volume of a cone with a diameter of 8.13686" and a height of 3".

B: Calculate the circumference of a cone base where its volume is 18,010.417ci and height is 4".

C: Calculate the height of a cone that has a volume of 2,881.885ci and diameter of 16".

D: Caclulate the base area of a cone that has a volume of 2,643.3334ci and height of 10".

Now that you know where to go, get out and sign that log! Remember to have fun!

Congratulations to Rob14erGuy and Hartsdale for their FTF!!!

So as I approached GZ I spotted some muggles that if they looked over their fence they’d easily see me. So I used some stealth to minimize how long and how much I was in view. I eventually found the cache but not quite in the location indicated in the hint. After signing the log, which is in good condition, I heard a noise and realized that I was in full view of some different muggles about 100 metres away. So fingers crossed that the cache doesn’t get muggled. Additionally, I adjusted the location of the cache by about 20-30 centimeters or so to make the hint more accurate. TFTC.

Have had this solved for a long time and just never seem to be in this area! Waiting for someone to meet me today, so I swung by to pick this one up. Nice puzzle (yay math!!) and not too devious of a hide. Even had a sweet message inside for finders! Tftc :-)

I solved the puzzle 14Mar, but just stopped by today. And it felt like March. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache. This is day 25 of my longest geostreak :-)
