Looking at what is above Jones

If you like Jones Park, you will love the view from above
Who cannot say that Jones Park is not one of the more secluded and peaceful places in Colorado Springs? Well this is the spot to view the valley floor and enjoy yet another award winning view.

There are many routes to this cache, plan on at least 3-4 hours round trip at best. Keep in mind this is a 4 for how it is hidden, not your typical hide, no hints will keep it at a 4.

This cache is dedicated to the great Kris_Kook caches in the area as he heads South for a while.

What a great day to view the fall colors from above. Don't know how others have found their way here. Our route will probably never be replicated! Rewarding in the end.

Up this way with Rob14erGuy and SnailMan1 for a long day of hiking.

This one was the third and last find for me today, Rob14erGuy found 12 and SnailMan1 found 7, now I am just tagging along and helping with the ones that I have found.

Thanks for another fun hike and cache!

I was enjoying the view when Rob14erGuy made the find.

Nice hike from one of the cabins but a steep one getting to the cache. From up there, we could see all around. Got it with Hartsdale, Snailman1 and my son. Didn't expect that type of hide.
Thanks for the cache.

Another amazing view. All the rain we've had has made the 7 Bridges and Jones Park area even more beautiful. Many of the caches we end up going after don't have trails and I kept thinking how pleasant it was to hike up a trail. But the time finally came to start our eastern bushwhack to the ridge. WingsandTales was right...it's better to go farther along the trail before turning and heading up, as it's more open, so less scrambling over large rocks, junipers and deadfall. We got lucky and found the cache pretty quickly. Thanks for a good hike and great views.

I have been wanting to get up here for quite a while. I have done most of the caches in the area but never made it to this one. Estes01 was good enough to come along for the hike today. We never found the trail that WolfgangStiller mentioned but I would recommend going past the third cabin before turning east to climb the ridge. We went up near the second cabin and encountered a lot of rocks and brush. On the way down we went further north and then aimed for the third cabin. That worked much better. The view from the cache is great. I managed to get a panoramic shot that I'll post. All in all it was a good day to play in the park. TFTC

Overlook is an understatement

Found with Java Chip on a very nice day. We took a wrong turn going up from the log cabin but on the way down we found the correct way for the appproach. TFTC!

Wow. I can't believe this cache hasn't been found in more than 4 years. Perhaps our loneliest find ever. Wish I would have read the log about a supposed trail. We came up the slow way right up the ridge from Jones Park. SLTFTC Fav.

No joy - found what I thought was part of the cache and took a picture. but based on the logs I read it seems that no one has been looking for it for a while.
