I went for a 6.2-mile hike this day. It was supposed to be over 10 miles, but the sun was beating down on me in the morning and I had run out of water (left the extra bottles in the fridge) by the time I reached the top. I save enough in hopes that there was running water in the creek down in the draw I was crossing. Whew! There was and I didn't get sick from drinking it with no filter (double Whew!) Anyway, I got ran off by the lightning so I didn't get all that I wanted to get. TFTC!

Thanks for the fun cache! After work today I decided that I needed a hike to recharge the soul a bit. I was looking for something hard and reasonable long, but not so bad that I would get home late. I decided I would run this trail up to a higher cache on the ridge and added a few caches along the way. The weather appeared to be not cooperating but once at the parking there was just enough break for me to think this planned hike will be OK. This was my target for the day and I made it in about an hour and a half. with 2 other stops along the way. My GPS read 1,400' elevation gain. Not too bad! After a short search of the area I was able to spot the spr and had the cache in hand. I'm glad this is another that survived the fire. It's a little warped from obvious heat, but it's dry and good. I signed the log and replaced in an upright manner to help the lid stay on and water out. All is well here! Thanks for placing this fun cache along a great trail!
