A small camoflage container placed in the Barbour Forks wildlife preserve near a pavilion on the edge of a vast meadow.
The Clear Creek Single Malt Duo showshoed in to this special meadow on an early March sunny day to place this geocache in the Arapahoe National Forest. This area is closed from December to June for elk calving. We imagine the site of this geocache being a wonderful location for watching baby elk being born. Enjoy the peace. Enjoy the beauty.
A geocoin awaits the FTF.
Sassydil we're counting on you!!!!!!!
Don't let Jeepcrazy or Mondo beat you.

Met the mile high Jeepers at this one. Cache is in great shape, found while out on a nice little drive. TFTC

I started my ride at the Barbour Fork TH at the end of the regular road. I was so glad to see a real parking lot there when I scoped it out last week that I knew there would be plenty room for my rig especially during the week. After riding all the way up to CQ Field Day & Alpine Adventure caches I made my way back down to this lovely meadow. I was bummed though when I saw a dirt bike & ATV making repeated loops around the meadow. I'm sure they were wondering what the heck someone on a horse was doing up there especially when I stopped to look for this cache. Interesting structure and the nearby pit toilets. I used the comments from other finders to find this one. I thought this one was gone when I looked at my GZ area but then I read I needed to expand my search. So surprised it has been so long since a find-it is a beautiful area.

Single Malt Duo showshoed into the shelter to check on our cache. Gentle snow coming down and about a foot of new snow. No elk viewed on this trip but plenty of tracks.
An enjoyable end to the holiday(s) season.

Out caching with Team Red Rubicon on Barbour Forks trail today. It's windy, cold, and a bit of snow on the ground. Made the trails interesting, but we still had fun. This one pointed us to the wrong area (too far from parking) about 50 feet from where we found the actual container. Signed in then continued the adventures.

After driving way down this road, ran into a closed gate and no trespassing signs. This must be an "by invitation only"cache.
