How fun! I came up the wrong way, of course, (or is that off course???) and didn't meet up with the trail until almost at the top. What a view! Haven't been in this area for a long time, used to climb on the nearby Helen's Dome and Acid Rock, and even went up the nearby Sheep Dome once (background of Ernie's photo) but that was quite a while ago. Had a great day out and about, thanks for placing a cache here to get me back into the area!

Very nice hike once we located the trail. A little bouldering involved and I almost knocked myself out once because I failed to see the boulder that was hanging over my head. Just a spectacular view from the top. Thanks for bringing us up there.

The guest ranch nearby apparently tacked a number of leather trail markers to trees and between that and yellow arrows painted on rocks, estes01 and I were able to follow the Sheep Rock trail most of the way to the cache. I'll agree with Adrenalin Junkie - the path from Needle Point back up to the trail is difficult at best. Fortunately we noticed a trail marker or we might have continued bushwhacking all the way to the top. That is about the most difficult 0.22 miles I've hiked. Up on top, the view is unmatched - Sheep Dome, Pikes Peak, the guest ranch, Signal Butte - very clear today. Thanks for a fun and challenging cache!

It took a couple attempts to find the correct route from the ridge but after a few ups and downs we found the correct up and made it up to the cache, the hint was helpful since the coordinates had us searching about 25 feet away. There was alot of adventuring still to come.

Wow, lots of bushwacking today. We saw an eagle flying overhead when we were at this cache. Took the Thorny geocoin.
