The surrounding area has changed significantly over the past few decades. While this particular area is relatively undeveloped, we thought it would be interesting to see how long it takes for this cache to be surrounded by homes.

Before my crazy day started, I got out of the house around sun-up to venture south and get this newbie in Sterling Ranch. It was a beautiful chilly morning with birds singing and no one on this back road, so it was very peaceful. I had only sneakers on and luckily the snow was hard enough to walk on, then I found the cache after a quick search/feel. A meadowlark was nearby watching, singing its song, keeping me company :) Glad to have another find for a cache hidden on Leap Day - I have no challenge that needs it now, but you never know! Thanks for the cache.

Found a place to park and made the short walk to this one. Interesting spot for a hide! Signed a blank log as FTF at 3:40 PM, but my pen made quite a smear. Thanks for the new hide in an area with great views to the west!
