This series of caches is meant to capture a few of the characters from the book Les Misérables. This is a good read while the undercurrent of the volumes are tragedy upon sorrow there is a sprinkling of redemption. The light in the muck and mire of the book is one of the best parts of this novel. Find the caches and maybe take some time and read an old classic.

Javert is a police inspector who becomes, over the course of the book, obsessively concerned with the pursuit and punishment of the escaped convict Jean Valjean. This hide is a little more difficult than the others in the series. It is hidden in a place where Javert make his end. He is not able to reconcile good and evil and the redemption of Valjean.

Searched for awhile in the cold but could not make the find. I had a great idea how I think the cache maybe hidden but it was too cold to keep the gloves off for a proper search. I appreciate the quality hide. Thank you for placing cache and helping to keep our recreation going.

I was up in the Denver area this weekend and decided to see if I could complete my "placed on" calendar. This was one of the dates needed. Gets a favorite point because not only is Les Mis one of my favorite musicals/books, but it is truly an excellent hide (I'd have probably never found it if I hadn't seen a similar hide down here in the Springs)! I almost re-enacted Javert's scene reaching for what I thought would be a devious way to hide it, but then realized it was a THOROUGHLY unsafe idea and probably not where it was. Some walkers saw me reaching and asked if I was trying to get to the racoons. Lol! Thanks for placing this one.

The good inspector would have appreciated the thoroughness of search necessary to find this one. TFTC

Wow! Where to start from this one? First off, congratulations on an awesome hide. It took me about 45 minutes and the phone a friend to even come close. Second let me finish what I wanted to begin on your last Le Mis geocache. I got a copy of this book when I was 17 years old and took it with me to basic training. It was a thick book and I hid it under my socks so the drill sergeants wouldn't take it. I was about halfway through the book which, as you know, is a long ways, when the drill sergeants did an inspection and found it. They ripped it in half threw it away. I was punished for having unauthorized materials. I didn't get another copy of it for about seven years. I got it through the mail and when it arrived, I discovered that it was missing several Pages. Back to the drawing board. The next copy was complete and I finished reading the book. It was an epic journey to read the book and the book is an Epic Journey. Just like this geocache. Thanks for an awesome one!
