Type: Mystery | Size: Regular Regular | Difficulty: 3 out of 5 | Terrain: 2 out of 5
By: 3 Williams Kidz @ | Hide Date: 02/23/2019 | Status: Available
Country: United States | State: Colorado
Coordinates: N39° 03.394 W105° 05.363 | Last updated: 08/30/2019 | Fav points: 0
Dogs  Recommended for kids  Takes less than an hour  Available at all times  Available during winter  Parking available  Short hike (less than 1km)  No Tree Climbing

THE CACHE IS NOT AT THE ABOVE COORDINATES, although that is a great place to park on Forest Service Road (FSR) 339 just about 245 feet off of Highway 67 while looking for this cache, which was placed on February 23, 2019 (2/23).

You need to determine the coordinates of where the container is at, which is N 39 03.??? W 105.05.???

Everything you need to determine those final coordinates is somewhere on this cache page. You do NOT need to go into the scripting code or anything sneaky like that.

This is a kid-friendly Travel Bug Camp (or TB Hotel) in Pike National Forest just off Highway 67 north of Woodland Park.

FSR 339 is next to Long Gulch and is located in Teller County, Colorado, United States; it has a length of 1.66 kilometers, and was the site of a small (about 0.25 acre in size) wildfire on June 13, 2018 (6/13).

The puzzle actually isn't very difficult; you should get it within 2 or 3 or 4 minutes, which is 120 or 180 or 240 seconds.

Congratulations to hartsdale for being FTF !

 Hints

I went fishing the other day; at first, everything went great but after that, all I got were a bunch of red herrings.

TB swap by the CO; dropped off a White Jeep TB and Signal with a Candy Cane.

Having time off from work is always conducive to solving a few geocaching puzzles. This one probably took me longer than it should have...but I finally had the oh-duh moment. We headed out at dusk to grab this cache and three others on a cold and snowy evening. I always appreciate an ammo can! I grabbed the Christmas Tree TB and left a very nice Hogwild Compass Rose Geocoin that I've held on to for way too long. It's so nice that I feel bad moving it because it's almost certain to go missing.

TB swap by the CO; grabbed the one trackable that had been here since July so it doesn't get snowed in any longer, and dropped off a new one of ours -- one of the Christmas Tree TBs that we received for free, by ordering at least $25 worth of stuff from geocaching.com

TB swap by the CO, 1 for 1. We don't normally retrieve trackables from our own geocaches, but we read the description for TB7KTA9 and can help it meet its goal in a big way. So we dropped by today, grabbed that one, and dropped off a new trackable of ours -- a hiking boot named Let's Go Hiking! #5

Out today grabbing a few caches with Farmgirl and Olive. Nice job on the puzzle and coordinates. Cache is in awesome shape. We grabbed a few travelers and left a couple more for the next finders. Stamped the log and we're off to the next one. [8d][8d] SL TFTC

I encouraged SipesFamily to grab all of the trackables to get them moving along, which they (thankfully) did. I will put more trackables into the TB Camp soon -- as soon as it stops snowing !

TFTC! Finally solved it with some help from the CO. Took some time at lunch from work to grab this one. Cache is in great shape, signed the log and thank you for the smiley face on the cache map. Grabbed some trackables and will move them along. This is find # 870 and hopefully get to our goal of 1,000 in the year 2019.
