Lots of raptors along Buckley Road. Don't forget your binoculars. Is it a female or male Kestrel that you are looking at? Get out the birding book and enjoy.

The name kestrel is given to several different members of the falcon genus, Falco. Kestrels are most easily distinguished by their typical hunting behaviour which is to hover at a height of around 10–20 metres (33–66 ft) over open country and swoop down on prey, usually small mammals, lizards or large insects. Other falcons are more adapted to active hunting on the wing. In addition, kestrels are notable for usually having much brown in their plumage. Kestrels do not build their own nests, but use nests built by other species.

Finally out here with my bike so I hit a couple trails and picked up some smileys. Brief visit to Denver and got out before the storm. Stamped log. So many caches, so little time. Thanks for your effort to place this cache and all the fun I had finding it. Don't Drink the Kool-Aid! Pura Vida! Live, laugh, love, cache.

Set out today with NTM at about 10am to hike and grab all 31 of the caches here along Buckley Road. Surprisingly, we found all of them. We returned to the car just before 4pm, so it took us about 6 hours to hike the ~11 miles. Mostly because we saw every type of wildlife that we could have imagined: eagles, a coyote, a fox, hawks, falcons, finches, rabbits, prairie dogs, deer and buffalo. One of our most successful days of caching ever, most of these caches were found in good condition. Thanks to everyone who placed these caches.

Thanks for placing here. We hear birds not sure what kind...of course it could be the chirpping of prairie dog. Getting hot. Here's a selfie if us. TFTFUN SL

Doing this stretch on a 100° day wasn't my greatest decision. Haha. Rode about 2/3 of this before heat, and a slow bike tire leak sent me back to the car. Found all, but one DNF. Replaced some broken containers, and missing logs.

Even not completing this stretch, I was able to grab enough caches for my final Hidden Creatures souvenir.

Thanks Imusttravel2000! Logged American Kestrel View from a ninth galaxy using c:geo!

Continued down the path to work on the Hidden Creatures challenge. A very nice trail with a smiley here to make it even more worth while. Didn't see any kestrels today, but I did see a snake, some buffalo, and shortly after replacing this cash, a bald eagle! It was so majestic in flight. tft , SL
