An Aussie Snowbird

 

This Event will be held at the Ptarmigan Inn, 2304 Apres Ski Way,
from 16:00 to 17:00 on Sunday 10 February, 2019

I will be waving the flag near the entrance to the Snowbird Restaurant / Lounge area.

Steamboat Springs is my American home-away-from-home. I've been coming here now for years - to ski! Then, in 2016, I discovered geocaching and from there it was all down hill. A great combination of adventurous activities!

Steamboat is brimming with fine caches, and unlike other ski towns I've visited, a large number of these are accessible in winter. And in the Land Down Under, where we often kayak or dive or climb or swim to collect our smiley face, merry tales of caching on skis get you extra kudos and street cred!! Keep them coming, please!

I've corresponded with a few local COs about individual hides, but never actually met any local cachers. Back home in Sydney, Australia I myself own thirty-something caches in my neighbourhood, but I've never before hosted an Event. This is my first.

My adult daughter and I plan to attend this event! Maybe we'll drag my mother-in-law along also - but definitely count on 2 of us! We've never been to an event -- there aren't a lot in this area! :-) I actually don't know of one since we became active since 2016! See you there!

Well, that's bad timing! If this was 2018, I would have the time to get out off work to pop over to Colorado to attend this event. Have a good time. Look forward to hearing of your travel adventures when you get home. Cheers. Brew
