This cache part of a series of caches along the Made in the Shade loop trail in the Royal Gorge trail system. The whole loop is approximately 3.5 miles long. This is a popular mountain biking trail so watch for bikes and if you are mountain biking, be sure to move your bike out of the way of other bikers when looking for this cache. Click HERE for a map of the Royal Gorge trail system. The caches on the south side of the loop should be easily accessible most of the year. Snow and ice tend to linger a bit longer in the winter on the north side of the ridge, so caution is advised in the winter months. Please stay off the trail when it is muddy.

At the time this cache was placed, there was a historical artifact nearby with the name "Kendall" on it (see photo). If it's still there, please leave it in place. If that item is no longer there when you find this cache, then this cache is named after my best friend. You'll have to scramble just a little bit to get this one

Two people who found the cache said it was a ways away from the listed coordinates.

Double checked the coordinates with a proper GPS device and updated. Hope it helps. Will add more info to the hint as well.

This one took us a while to find until I spotted the Kendall can. The coordinates had us up on the hill but the container was close to the trail. The GPS was showing about 20 ft. off. Stamped the log and we're off to the next one. [8d][8d] SL TFTC

FTF! with nite_raven at 2:45pm. Spotted the historical piece as we rounded the bend before reading the cache description. Very cool. Spent forever scrambling around the hillside before finally finding it. Our coordinates were 30m up from the actual GZ. The difference between the sunny and shaded areas was very visible here. Managed to get a cool photo of it.
