This cache part of a series of caches along the Made in the Shade loop trail in the Royal Gorge trail system. The whole loop is approximately 3.5 miles long. This is a popular mountain biking trail so watch for bikes and if you are mountain biking, be sure to move your bike out of the way of other bikers when looking for this cache. Click HERE for a map of the Royal Gorge trail system. The south side of the loop should be easily accessible most of the year. Snow and ice tend to linger a bit longer in the winter on the north side of the ridge, so caution is advised in the winter months. Please stay off the trail when it is muddy.
Stopping at this spot gives you a wonderful panoramic view of the area. The burn area from the 2013 Royal Gorge Fire is quite evident, but does not detract from the amazing scenery. We named this cache after the beautiful view AND after our dearly departed faithful canine geocaching companion, Bella.
Congratulations to LeewayeDiscGolf and nite_raven for the FTF.
