A nice hike to a pretty easy cache. The container is a camo'd peanut butter jar. It's large enough to hold geocoins, travel bugs, and other small items.
The area is beautiful, so I've hidden a few caches here. When I was hiding this one, it was about 4 PM and the weather was a beautiful warm winter day. I was ALL ALONE. I kept thinking this area looks perfect for mountain lions...I could just picture some other cachers finding my mangled body and the remains of the gps I used to attempt to fend off the big cat, and my droid.

I've been assured by a local that no one has seen a mountain lion on this side of the highway.

I placed a couple geocoins in here. Feel free to drop some off and move these along.

There are several other caches in the area, so it would be easy to make an afternoon or a whole day of geocaching.

After over a week of being cooped up inside I told the kids we were hiking. I was heading for this area so RPieperCo decided to meet up with us. I think the kids would've just stayed around this cache the rest of the day. Somehow, a couple old washers ended up nearby and these were the objects of their fascination. Sl, thanks!

Thanks for the fun cache! Met up with CrumbCrunchers on an impromptu hike along the trail. It was a chilly start as the rain clouds were starting to form and a few drops were coming down. As we packed up to head out the rain stopped. It was a fun hike! The ThunderBirds were out practicing for the Air Force graduation so we were able to watch them the entire hike. The scenery of the rocky bluffs was beautiful too! No mountain lion sightings today. Wink At the GZ it was UB.L who made the find and we all signed and stamped the log. Replaced as found. Thanks so much for the great cache and placing this for us all to enjoy!

Wow I am so psyched I tried to find this one many years ago When I was on the hunt for the rest of the caches on and around this mountain. But I had to DN F it. This one and one multi were the only ones I couldn't find The multi was archived But this one has been on my to do list since then. Today was the day and I found it easily.
