After finding the nearby cache, Winter 2, I headed toward this cache on this nice trail. When I got close to GZ and noticed the trail turning away, I went cross country. I reached the edge of a steep bank, and heard water below. I headed down the bank and then came upon a trail. I followed that and it took me right to GZ and the cache, which I was able to find fairly easily. I followed that trail back, which connected to a larger trail. I followed that trail, which is the one on which I should have stayed. It would have been much easier. The switchbacks made me think that it was turning away. TFTC SL, Aiken, SC (3660).

Lot of cut trees and went to wrong side of creek first. And found it tftc
