Well the first stage went simply enough the other day.. and while it was beautiful up at the quarries this morning despite a very chilly bite to the breeze, something went off the rails at ‘Question D’ ... I get a checksum either way too high, or too low no matter how I try to interpret the data.

Wow! I think I must have gone the wrong way. Sure felt like more than a 2.5/3 to me. Everything close was gated and fenced. I had to work up and around the fence line
I can see why there aren’t many signatures in this one. Cache is in good shape. Thanks for the multi!

This was the closest multi we had left for the souvenir. We'd already done the leg work on previous cache runs so all we needed to do was the final. We weren't sure about the best way out here so we just walked from a nearby puzzle cache. We did grab the TB. Tons of screeching, small birds flew overhead while we were out here. Thanks for the souvenir and anything dinosaur related is always awesome.

What a fun cache to find! I got the coords just fine and entered them into my GPS, then the real adventure began. It took me a few different tries to locate the best way into the final cache site, but success at last! I saw the TB, but don't have any trips on my plate right now so I left it in the cache. Thanks for placing this one, it was very enjoyable. TNSL

1000

Woohoo! Cache # 1000. I didn't want just any old cache for this milestone. I got all the information several days ago. At Marsh Quarry I hiked up the trail simply because I had never been up there. But by the time I got back down it was too late in the day to go for the final. Then the wind came up and I had to delay the final for a couple of days. Today was a perfect day with balmy temperatures and a light breeze. I drove to within 0.12 miles and walked from there. The route was mostly easy, but I probably didn't pick the best place to cross the dry creek. After searching for a few minutes I had the container in hand.

I added some Get Out of Hell Free cards, a one million dollar bill and a 1945 penny. (I think the million dollar bill might be fake.) I grabbed the Yellow Submarine TB and discovered the other one, then took a few photos and headed back to the truck.

This would be a great family cache. Thanks for the checksums. I never completely trust my math. Thanks for a really fun little adventure and awesome milestone cache. Favorite added.
