Genesee Park is underrated!! There are plenty of opportunities to explore the different corners of this park - from the bison and elk pastures, to the picnic areas and hiking trails on Genesee Mountain, to the historic Chief Hosa Lodge and Campground, to the Beaver Brook/Chavez/Braille Trails. Not satisfied? This cache location brings you to a more secluded corner of this Denver Mountain Park. Accessible from Rainbow Hill Road and the western terminus of the I-70 bike path (as it is signed), head east along the paved trail to a point where an old road veers off to the northeast. This old road eventually turns north to a dirt trail that ascends the ridge to the north. Although the noise from the interstate takes away from the serenity of this location, the top of this ridge hosts a beautiful forest with a large rock outcrop (approximately 500 ft. to the west of our hide) that gives you a great vantage point of the surrounding area.

You are looking for a tube container wrapped in camo tape and large enough to support a number of trinkets for the youngsters - and we loaded it up!! The cache is hidden among the rocks, in a location that is likely not large enough for a baby bear to snuggle into, however my daughter convinced me it was, and the cache name was born!! Enjoy this secluded corner of Genesee Park!!

Found while hiking with the George. Left a tractable (punk orangutan). Nice day for a corona-break. Just me and the dogs!

Coordinates are dead on. This helped the find despite recent deep snow. Well-stocked. Thanks for placing this cache. K7

Another relatively easy find after we got to the actual GZ. We weren’t aware of the trail leading up here so we picked the best snow free approach that we could find, absolutely beautiful area up here we plan on hiding a few more stamped the log TFTC

FTF in a new area to explore. I didn’t read the description of placement before setting out from the Chief Hosa exit but managed to work back east. Highly recommend if you do this during the winter months that you use some traction device on your shoes. Thanks for bringing me to this area and TFTC!
