This is a 3-stage multi-cache with many items to trade and inspire future ventures into Elk Meadow Open Space.
Park at the lower lot of the Buchanan Rec. Center to access the trail that leads under the highway bridge.
The first waypoint is about 15 feet away from the NE corner of a nice resting place. Think BIG tree and geocaching ROCKS! Sit and ponder where you think the second stage might be hiding... before you log it in.
This is our fist cache we have set out together. It is our goal to finally have a cache up on the top of Bergen Peak -- where there is a place that records the earth's seismic activity. If you get yours there first, then you have truly been inspired!!

Well this certainly was an adventure. We grabbed the bikes with the hopes of offsetting some afternoon 4th of July hot dogs and burgers. Reading previous posts we were nervous since there hasn't been any logs in the last 9 months. Found the first cache out in the open about 10-15' off the trail, however contents were secure and dry. We placed the cache back in what we thought was its' hiding spot (based on description and previous logs). Onto the 2nd, where we spent a good 15-20 min searching. Per previous posts, we searched out to 100' off the trail, and used the coordinate Knyte7 provided in their log (THANK YOU!!). With visions of hot dogs dancing in our heads we were about to give up, however my son's keen eye located the cache buried in a bush at ground level. Using the hints, we returned the cache to eye level - as is described in cache 1 - and placed it at the coordinates from Knyte since it appeared that's where it was moved to by the owner. Onto the 3rd, which proved much less difficult, however it was very obvious from a distance away and was signed twice this year which makes me think some muggles may have stumbled across it and signed the log. Otherwise it was in great condition. We nestled it back in its' spot and hopped on the bikes back to an awaiting BBQ. You never know what you'll find when you take on these adventures. As such, this gets a favorite for us because it got us out to a beautiful area and we have a great story to tell. Happy 4th of July!!

Thanks to previous parties for putting some of these cashes back together. Everything is still in great shape. This is our 100th find and a fun favorite!

The second stage was in good shape, but I was off by about 30 feet. I may have entered the WP wrong, but it certainly wasn’t far enough off to not be found. TFTC. On to the next.

Came up to Evergreen today to find Trail Mix #18. Hit the stages for this multi along the way. The only issue was at stage two. We found the container with no lid and no coordinates. I found the lid a short distance away and my daughter found the paper with stage 3 coordinates blown quite a distance away. All is back together now.

A fun three-part cache! Everything was in good shape, although the second coordinates listed in the first part are off. The cacher who logged a few spots below me has a more accurate location.

Went for a drive (and some hikes) with "animjason" on a nice warm and sunny spring day - this was the fifth of eight geocaches that I found along the way. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

Fourteenth of 17 finds today with Bhob.

Ninth one in this park, saw about 50 Elk as well, and picked up a few ticks.

I always target MULTIS so this was a good detour from main hike, thanks!
