Small Town Colorado - Northern Plains

This is a "Name That Town" puzzle.
Cache is not at the posted coordinates.
In this puzzle, you will be going for an 8-letter code. The correct code
will give you the actual coordinates. From the coordinates listed below,
find the town. Record the first letter of each town name. That's it.
No need to drive to any on the listed town, unless you want to visit
that town. You will need to travel to the final coords for the finding/signing
but that comes later.

Town that were named after an individual will have the person's name
replaced with (townname) - Not to give away the name of the town
before you find via coords. Happy Hunting

By the late 1920s town grew into a town larger than it is today with two banks, five
grocery stores, and three hotels. The Great Depression of the 1930s took a major
toll on the town's economy, and a further blow took place in June 1965 when
a devastating flood destroyed or severely damaged the businesses along main
street. Many of these buildings were never rebuilt. Town hosted the first rodeo
exhibition on July 4, 1869.
In 2013, the town was considering an ordinance that would create drone hunting
licenses and offer bounties for unmanned aerial vehicles.

(Overland company), (townname) Richards.
Another story says the town was named for Richard (townname) who was a local

This was my second time here, I can see why I missed it the first time. There was a really strange muggle walking by that I had to wait until she left and was out of sight before commencing my search. This puzzle and container were both fun and delightful to find. Cheers!
