This cache was hidden in celebration of my achieving the milestone of 100 found caches in my first six months of geocaching.
Although it was not actually placed on Christmas Day, which was my goal date for this achievement, it has been placed to honor both events:  The Birth of Jesus Christ and my achievement of 100 finds!

This cache is located at an overlook of what is known locally as "Fruitgrowers' Reservoir" or "Hart's Basin Reservoir".  This basin fills with water from the Spring runoff from areas to the north and is drained-down as local farmers and fruit-growers use the water for Summer irrigation.  Beginning in early March each year, thousands of Sandhill Cranes visit this body of water as they make their trek back to the northwest for the Summer.  Any season of the year can be beautiful at Hart's Basin, so enjoy the view while you're here!

The Christmas Tin container has some goodies the kids will enjoy, a certificate for the FTF, and a logbook with pencil. TBs are welcome! Enjoy!
