A memorial site in which a cadet glider had crashed near the Air Force Academy
Found this while exploring over the summer. Returned the day after Christmas to place the cache.
The memorial placard may not be visible with snow, but the cross is.

This is about .22 North from jjasks revenge which is the best route to this cache.

Grabbed this one on our way down from Stanley’s revenge. It was a rough trip down and we were lucky enough to find this one fairly quick.

I finally decided to come back up to this area. KJKlock and I had a lot of fun on the climb, but we both walked away with scrapes and bruises on the way back down. Watch that ice!! --- Also, don't decide it would be fun to try and slide down a short bit on your unprotected rear-end. I even ripped a small hole in my pants. HEHE!

After coming back East and sitting at Stanley's Revenge for a while, we headed down to this one. Parts of the route we took were pretty nasty and I had actually forgot we were going to grab this one. Thankfully when I looked at the app again, we were only 146 ft from the cache. Whew! Didn't miss it, because I surely wasn't going to convince her to climb back up a bit to get it. It took a bit to find, since the hint is way off. A previous log was very helpful.

What an awesome site. Even as a grad I had never heard this story. I need to look into this more. Cache is in great shape, but looks like it has been shot at once. TFTC, this is why I have fallen in love with geocaching.
