Golly, I've wanted to get after this cache for a long time, but always prioritized my time in ways that kept me from working on it. Today I had some "big" plans; with the wet mountain trails and this morning's misty conditions, I made a last minute decision to change my focus to try for several caches in western Loveland. I'm glad I did, as I found three long-wanted caches with my puppies Orizaba and Chimborazo. Zaba and Chimi experienced as pleasant a morning as I did, despite the clouds and light rain; they had a couple of nice hikes--and as Labradors, they appreciated the wet environment a lot more than I did!!

I had "solved" the final coordinates of this puzzle/letterbox hybrid cache right after it had come out, and had nailed its location on GE. So today was to be a slam dunk for finding it. Right? Well, I had not factored in that there was an organized road bike event in the area this morning. I love road biking but now dislike riding in the rain. So when I arrived at a key intersection to discover flashing lights of sheriff vehicles and a stream of bikers crossing an intersection, I "felt" for those cold, wet bikers. It reminded me of a Triple Bypass Century ride years ago when we bikers were turning blue and going hypothermic from cold and rain by the time we reached Vail Pass on our 120-mile ride. I felt bad for these riders and for the cold, wet deputies directing traffic!

Well, we eventually were allowed to make the turn and proceeded to the cache. An easy find of the container, but a bit of a jostle to get the creative cache opened. It warrants a Fav point, and gets it. Thanks, Alex!

Learned some things from the puzzle. Brought a friend along, showing him the ropes. A nice field puzzle in addition to the coord puzzle. A fave.
