Christmas is one of the best holidays of the year as we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the ultimate gift.  Geocaching is also a great gift...so lets go caching!!!

The cache is on a nice trail just West of Loveland.  This is a great trail to walk your dogs on.  Make sure to keep your geodog out of cactus at the GZ.  You may need a second person for the job.  Do NOT let the difficulty of the cache deter you.  Good luck and Happy Caching!!!

FTF of this cache goes to Go Buffs!

Our Colorado vacation continued today with a drive from Estes Park to Ft Collins. We were super bummed to not find this one. But finally had to raise the white flag after about 30 minutes of searching. I'm guessing it was staring right at us the entire time.

While we waited for our coffee event to start we decided to find a cache located close by. Once we found the access route, the official cache was not difficult to locate.

Used the approach to this one that said runners were welcome (but apparently not others). So made a dash to GZ. Looked at just the right spot to make the find. #1579.

Wasn't sure if I was going to try for this one since it had been raining most of the day. Really wanted it for the Fizzy grid since the D/T rating works for one of my loops. Lucky for me the rain subsided while I made the hike. My hiking shoes sure were muddy when I got down from the trail, but then I found a puddle to play in to clean them off.

Almost gave up but them reread the hint and when I looked again there it was in plain site. TFTH
Gets a favorite point from me for location, container, and the D/T rating

A nice walk over to this cache from a cache to the west. Clever hide, I can see how the difficulty of this one would vary by season. Gets a favorite point. Thanks for the hide.
