What once was a vibrant area is now just a bunch of empty shells. At or near this location there use to be a store called Gibsons. The only reason I recall this is because I got my 1st bicycle and fish pole here. Once I got older I passed my driver's test at the DMV that was located directly behind the -4 to the West. There was a small ice cream shop (Soda Straw?) on Academy a little North of here and I spent many an evening here in one of its two movie theaters. One was located just to the West of this location and the other located across the street where they currently play laser tag. Now Rustic Hills is just plain dead.

You’re sure right about this area. I don’t remember Gibson’s but Ii do the movie theater and an Albertsons and Longs Drug and lots of activity. Did make the find though after 2 DNFs nearby. Thanks for the smiley.
