An area known for its name and Black Canyon Cheese;
begin your multi cache trek filled with beauty and breeze.

This newly opened trail winds it way;
be sure, however, not to miss the concealed Woodpecker Stay.

An easy journey along our Front Range will surely lift one’s sorrow;
but don’t forget to look deep into one particular marrow.

Certainly, life has risks, but this small leap to a twisted fall will be worth the treasure awaiting for all.

It doesn’t have to end there, and if you continue on then please share
your cheers and thanks to Candy and Okie for their extended care.

A 2-stage multi-cache. The final has plenty of room for trackables and SWAG.

••FTF goes to R&B CO!••
••And a special cheers to OR85OR450 for his perseverance utilizing the “read”!••

Nice! Finally found the first stage today. That was tricky. I was here the day that the cache was published, with R&B Co, so I knew exactly what I was looking for. Every time I've hiked this trail since, I've spent a few minutes looking around, hoping I'd get lucky. Today, I had nothing to do, so I drove up here and searched for about an hour straight. I sat down and looked through some previous logs, finding no clues. I gave up and was standing to leave, and then I spotted it! Headed to the second wp, but I didn't search long because the sun was set. There's a LOT of bones at gz for the second waypoint. TFTC so far. Will have to be back soon.

Enabled.

Owner Maintenance 01/26/2020 By TheTwinnedFir
Since the second stage has been removed by somebody and/or lost, we will need to replace it. The weather, as well as the holidays, have not permitted us an opportunity to do this, but we’re hoping to be able to complete the task soon. Thanks for your patience.

Greetings TheTwinnedFir,

I'm IgnotusPeverell, one of the volunteer reviewers.

It looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache in the next couple of weeks, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and cachers can once again enjoy visiting this location.

If the reason the cache is under the weather is something out of your control, such as construction or flooding, please post a note on the cache page with your best guess of when the conditions will improve. If the situation is temporary and is something out of your control, there is no need to archive the cache at this time. Please however, add a note to the cache page detailing the situation to allow others to understand the situation - and - to prevent this from being archived for inactivity.

Additionally, please note that if no action is taken in 30 days, I will be forced to archive this cache. Don't let your cache get archived for non-communication.

Thanks,
IgnotusPeverell

Wow! I'm so glad we started early this morning. It was warming up fast by the time we finished. My son is exhausted, lol. After a bunch of short hikes yesterday I wasn't planning on making him hike more today but he's a trooper and didn't need but a couple rest breaks. My GPS said 3. 78 miles round trip. We already had visited stage #1 and there was a lot of wandering at #2. Still, wonderful hike on a new trail. Might be a fun snow shoe trail in the winter! Sl, thanks!

Out with Kerewin0430 and WingsAndTales today after the Flash Mob event. All waypoints were interesting, and we enjoyed our walk along this new trail. Thanks for the multi-cache!

It was nice to get out with Kerewin0430 and COpackrat. The weather held off long enough for us to enjoy the walk and the hides. Eagle-eye COpackrat was on top of it today and made all the finds. TFTC

First stage is micro.

As others have noted, this one involved a little bit more distance then we had anticipated! The weather held off for COpackrat, WingsAndTales, and me to enjoy a nice walk. The final is a regular size, not a micro, and we had great fun with the swag inside. Thank you for placing this fun one!

I had heard this section of the Front Range Trail had been opened and had seen a bicycle or two riding it as I passed by on the freeway. I decided to stop today and experience it for myself.

I had a lot of trouble at stop 1 but ultimately was able to continue the quest. The narrative all made sense when I got to the final. Great hiding spot and lots of great swag in there, but I TNLN. Fun cache, thanks!

We were in town for the grand opening of this extension of the FRT in Douglas County. We were doing so good finding the 1st two stages but stage three was gonna be just too far away in the timeframe we had. Maybe I’ll be able to ride my horse the rest of the way some other day.

Wah Hoo !! Turn that frown up- side down BigSmile
Truth to tell, my record against TTF is a paltry 1 - 4 ... but it only takes the one ! Even with a description of what S1 is, I went by today for another ??? BlackEye But fortunately on two past visits after dnf'ing I resorted to long walks here in the park; and on one of those (it was the second one) I came across a little something which allowed advancing to the final today!! Dulled my enthusiasm for scouring posted coordinates again today; but Hooray for luck and paying attention!!
Forgot I had a sheet of Oregon stickers in my pocket when I couldn't find a pen there or in the final... (what ? Attention ??) but I left a mud thumbprint and took a picture.

Come and get this one- not many chances to put a multi in this D/T spot Smile Smile

Had a look today and all is in place. Double-checked the coords as well and all good.

This cache is available in winter but the 2nd stage is down low, so deeper snow could be an issue.

As soon as we can, we’ll get by to check that all is in place and some critter hasn’t decided to move things around on us!

Reach out anytime.

Have fun and good luck!

Dropped by today and had a look; all is in place! :)

Tricky! Showed up about 20 minutes after R&B Colorado got there, and we looked for the better part of 30 minutes. I had to give up early, but will definitely return soon to make the find

FTF Decided today would be a good day to be out caching so bundled up and headed to the new mult. Definitely made the first stage harder but I think the cold was affecting my GPS. Reached out to CO and she pointed me in right direction. But even with help from her and ColoradoSmith who came by but had to leave before I made the find it took awhile. Finally as so often happens I looked up and voila, there it was! After that stage 2 and then the final were a great walk in the park. Thanks CO for the nice FTF prize. Lots of good swag for future finders. TFTMC

Fellow Cachers: kindly be mindful not to startle the wildlife in the area as this trail parallels the I 25 as well as the railroad.

BYOP; however, please don’t leave a pen in the final cache due to freezing conditions. Happy caching!
