Out picking up some caches with COpackrat, enjoying the beautiful weather! Thanks for placing this cache. There is exactly one paper crane left on the other memorial in this area.

Nice little hike through the forest

The snow finally started to pick up in this area so I made a quick run to knock out a few more. I found this one quite easily but the marker is quite worn. As well, there seems to be far too many memorials in the area. It's a happy and sad experience. Answers sent on for verification. TFTC!

Great little hike out to the cache. The tree were very pretty covered in ice. As others have noted the sign is hard to read. Thanks for the cache!

It was a nice afternoon to go up this trail. The plaque is difficult to read, but I found the date. Prior posts have wondered about the backstory. I did some internet research but didn't come up with anything more specific than a basic death notice. He died young and left behind many family members. Thanks for keeping this memorial virtual going, Fork L Man. Email sent.

I noticed one of the nearby trails here is named "White Ghost". It seems this is a special place on the mountainside for the town. Someone has scratched a date on the plywood at Alan's marker, but there is also a brand new memorial in the pondo nearby with paper origami birds that flutter in the breeze. The new memorial is for Beatrice Lunday, which is a nice tribute:

Took a bit of a long weekend, well five days anyway and hopped in a car with Boreal Walker and yellowdogs (AKA - Team Barcelona) and headed west aiming for parts unknown. This cache was one of those on the adventure. Enjoyed a really nice hike up to this memorial, the sound of the wind in the trees was amazing and the smell of the pine brought back a lot of memories. Thanks for setting this one up and keeping it going.
In the tree
Alan was there

I am on a road trip with Boreal Walker and jREST from Minnesota to New Mexico and back meandering our way through as many counties as we could with many target caches in our sights. The weather was decent, although we did have a day that the temperatures reached 100 degrees and we were very thankful for the air conditioning the car provided. We enjoyed our journey and the many laughs along the way along with the great places some of these caches brought us to.
Our answer has been sent. Thanks for the cache!

Thank You! Beauty area to hike, run, birdwatch and of course cache. Took a photo of the plaque a few days ago, not knowing it was a cache, as Geochaching Classic wouldn't open. Came back today with the new app loaded and found it. TNLN, TFTC! Powderfinger, Corning, NY
