We were in custody of a travel bug so interesting, we had to make a new cache to place it in!

This cache is placed in honor of our state's early Mountain Men. Finally, the beavers they made their living from are back and thriving in the Hardscrabble Creek! The cache is placed right beside a beaver dam, so depending on their industriousness and snowmelt levels, you may get a little wet stomping thru the vicinity looking for this one. There is a parking area on the opposite side of the road (hey, at least your car will stay dry!). Initially, the cache contains some "Trade Goods", and the Cobalt & Sinew TB.
If you look at the photo we are including with this cache page, the difficulty will probably be more like a 2. The hint really makes it easier.

I was wrapping up the year with some geocaching. I found this excellent one in good shape. Thanks to lamassu_lion for placing and maintaining it! IN - an Olympic sponsor pin from the 2016 Rio Games OUT - nothing TFT!!!

I was about 80 feet away and happened to look down. The ground was moving and on closer inspection it was red ants. Oh heck no!!!! Ants are my nemesis, no no no no no!!!! I did the hop dance and ran away as fast as I could. I am not that much of a die hard cachet, I will skip this one.

Hi - I missed the beaver activity ( if any was nearby this season), but found the cache while my wife waited at parking & read the forest info.

Parked at the very convenient parking location across the street and then set off up the road to find an area where the grass wasn't so tall that it would impede our trek to GZ. Managed to do so, and found the cache without any significant trouble. SL, dropped off a trackable, and were on our way. TFTC !!!
