Last one of the day. I parked at the turn around just before the stream crossing. We hiked up the road and and then saw the closed road going south and up the hill. Lots of quarts by the old mine. Nice little scramble at the end. Olive always finds the best routes on these tricky hides. Stamped the log and now back down this bumpy road. [8d][8d] SL TFTC

We have been coming to this area with friends for 3 years now I have attempted to find this cache every year and each time I have been talked out of climbing the hill at the end of the trail so I said this time would be different I walked up the old trail that is now closed instead this was a much better plan and wow did this location not disappoint what a beautiful view from here between the 3 year search and the view this gets a favorite point from me tftc

Out riding the trails with my father while I'm in town for an Elk hunt. Tried this one from the very end of the main trail...bad idea. Made it to the top of the hill, but it was all cliffy to get to the cache. Very slowly climbed back down to the Quad and then found the "right" trail. It is permanently closed due to a rock slide I think. Parked the bike and then walked up the trail to the old mine. Climb wasn't too bad even for my ole legs. Followed the GPSr to find the container with no luck. Was trying to get phone service so I could look at the pictures that you mentioned in your log description when I looked down and thought, "that would be a good place to hide it", and BAM, that was it. Wasn't going to leave until I found it!! Took a bunch of pictures that I will post later. Gets a Favorite Point for the fun I had getting to it. Thanks for putting it out there and adding to the fun of the day.

The last leg of trail (off the main trail) is closed and I hiked in to find it. Only a few hundred yards on mild terrain and well worth it!! Great view of valley below.. Cache in good shape, too late for $5. This was my 4th cache ever, hooked on it..

Hi ibjeepin#1, we were up there camping about a month ago and the trail to your cache has been closed to motorized vehicles. It's too bad really, because it's a beautiful spot, but we didn't want to hike back to it in all of our riding gear.
I own the Nulph Grave cache on the same road. At least you can get credit for a find on your way up to check it out.
Happy Trails...

Well, I found it but did not have a pen, so I did not sign the log. Water fall was not quite frozen yet. Nice place to break for lunch! Thanks!
