The Arkansas River Conduit brought water from upstream off the Arkansas River to ponds south of Pueblo where it was stored for use for the Colorado Fuel and Iron steel mill. The Conduit was a combination of simple excavated canals, concrete channels and concrete tube siphons that moved the water across low spots such as this canyon. You can see the iron ribs of the siphon tube as well as its complete structure in spots where it crosses the canyon. The approach takes you through the old concrete channel of the Conduit.

I remember finding a cache in a nearby area that must be archived now. These conduits are always very interesting to see and wander around. TNLN, SL, TFTC!

Had a fun time hiking down to this one. The old siphon tube is amazing! Even with the hint we searched for the container for a while. Eventually we made the find. Thanks for a challenging cache.

Checked the coords after most recent finder indicated they were off. This is after we had originally entered the longitude with two numerals transposed. Checked today with our GPS and found them to be spot on.

This one was my target cache for this morning, driving in here with out knowing what to expect.

Got to the parking spot and headed down the trail to a look out point and it seemed to fit the description on the cache page.

Looking at the coordinates where I was standing and pulling up the cache page coordinates on my phone to see the difference, it was off by a bunch.

North one looked good, so I played around with the west one and it looked like if I flipped the 4 and 8 around was worth a try, so away I go.

Heading to my plotted coordinates, I was trying to imagine working on this project.

Anyway got close and it was looking as a maybe it's here.

Bingo!

Can you double check the coordinates? GZ seems to be the middle of the prairie and not matching the cache description.
