November is Social Butterfly month for the "You might be a geocacher if......" four-month series. If you're still shy of points, join us for an hour of fun, coffee, and geocaching tall tales!

Each month from September through December, use the Friend League to individually earn points toward a new Geocacher Personality Souvenir. November is Social Butterfly month.  Collect them all to be the ultimate geocacher.

In November, you might be a Social Butterfly if… You walk the walk and talk the talk—as in you like to go to events! You are fully immersed in the geocaching community and Event Caches are totally your thing. You love meeting all of your fellow geocachers and have a knack for helping newbies fall in love with the game! To earn the Social Butterfly souvenir, earn 70 points individually on your Friend League starting October 29 at noon UTC through December 3 at noon UTC. This month earn higher points for attending Event Caches!

I was tracking for 3,000 finds but just didn't know quite when or where I'd hit it. I thought it would be fun to have this event be the milestone because the CO is such a great caching partner. I put in some extra effort over the weekend to make the numbers line up. Even got attacked by two squirrels while night caching the night before! I found the last two to bring me up to 2999 and then the little one didn't feel well on the way here. Almost didn't make the event! Luckily we got here in time and I hit 3,000. Thank you peace love pi - both for the event and the great caching adventures! Find #3,000!!!

We spent part of the day caching our way to the event. Met some new cachers that we could put names to faces and caught up with familiar faces. We got some help on a couple of puzzles that were causing us to scratch our heads on. Can't wait to head out to go night cache with a group of friends, calling us the (SBG) "Social Butterfly Group". Very nice turnout, I think we almost took over the Starbucks. Thanks Dawn for hosting this very fun event.
