This cache is hidden along the trail in Sharptail Ridge Open Space Park. This is part of a second set of caches in this series which are all along trails in open space areas west and southwest of Denver.
NOTE: The park that this cache is in is CLOSED during parts of September, October and November. Check with the Douglas County webpage for the Sharptail Ridge Trail for information about closures. Do not attempt this cache during these closures.
It is just under a 2 mile hike one way from the parking lot (waypoint provided). It is not a difficult trail and not much of a climb either although there are some nice views. In fact, there is a nice 360 degree view at ground zero.
On the inside of the lid of you will find a name of an animal that you should make note of because it will be important for solving the puzzle in a later cache in the series.
Beware of rattlesnakes in snake season!
Oh, and bring your own pen.
