Takes less than an hour  Scenic view  Dangerous Animals  Thorns  Watch for livestock

This is a nice scenic drive along a ridge overlooking the plains and mountains to the west. Roads may be very muddy after rain or snow. Enjoy the view!
Mud or snow could make getting to the cache location messy.

Congratulations to cacheman48 on FTF!

Quick find on a cool, windy day. Container and log are in great shape. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

Thanks, yupty! I nice little detour for this one. I ran a pocket query of the 1,000 caches I have not found yet on the plains to the north, south, and east of the airport with a 100 mile diameter. This Saturday morning I worked some of the roads in Elbert County. There are still lots of caches in this county that I have to find, so I will be back. The area is really beautiful, and I enjoyed finding strands of of pines along the way. We moved to Arvada permanently in March when I retired from my job in Laredo, Texas. I would love to geocache more, but I am still working part-time teaching two online courses at my old university.

I teamed up with BlindReff and Night-Hawk on what has become
a regular trip to GeoWoodstock for us each year.

We used a stamp imprinted with We Nailed It to sign most of the logs,
but there were times when I used my personal stamp to include my cache
name on some of the log sheets as well.

Thanks to yupty for hiding and maintaining this geocache.
