Where the Red Fern Grows, by Wilson Rawls, is the second book I read by choice.  It still influences me today.  The powerful narrative of a boy and his beloved dogs filled me with a sense of adventure and opportunity.  This story also taught me empathy when I experienced someone else’s pain and loss.  This cache isn’t that evocative, but it should be fun.  The location reminded me of a story from the book.  You won’t need a hint if you have read and partly remember the book.

Driving around Denver today, saw this cache and went for it. Very cool! Gets a favorite. We will be riding bikes next time we are in the area...so many muggles and traffic....heading down south. TFTFUN SL

SL TFTC and thanks for the hint LostinDenver a couple of weeks ago. Still a novice and I thought ... duh, why did I struggle, the cache is in a perfect spot!! Also loved the springy action, nice touch. My 6th grade teacher read this book in class, she occasionally fumbled because she tried to edit out the bad words, ha. An excellent book and one of my favs from school. Thanks for the memories!
