Cache is not at the listed coordinates, but they will lead you to an informational sign about the early days of Montrose. You must obtain two numbers then do a bit of math to find the final location. The first number you need will be on the sign the coordinates take you to, the second number on the sign about 20' to your right, down the sidewalk. You must answer the questions: "What year did William Howard Taft visit Montrose?" and, "What year was The Pastime established?" Subtract 1,404 from the first number to acquire N38 25.X and subtract 1,767 from the second number to acquire W107 51.Y. The cache contains a log and a few items for trading.

Congratulations Jake92 on FTF!

Adding my name to the list of DNFs. Seems pretty tough for experienced cachers to find to truly be a D2. And as far as a T1.5, there is a lot of overgrown brush. I'd hate to see this one later in the year when things are growing. Stomped around the coords and dug through the leaves til I was bleeding and no cache to be found. Cache missing? Bad coords? Who knows.

We were able to get the correct final location according to the geochecker. Upon arrival, we located several areas it could be hidden, but it was dark and starting to snow. After about 30 mins of searching, we left with no fishy smiley. We will be back though, because after reading through the logs, we believe it is there, just well hidden. Thanks for showing us the location.

Today we had plans to visit the South Rim and to head to Lake City to continue working on a couple of challenges. We were met with a lot of snow showers on both endeavors and had to turn around due to some closed roads. We concentrated on other caches in the meantime. We found quite a few but were also stymied by others. This one looked like a fun one. Got the coords and were a bit surprised to see that it was a little far afield but went for it. Came away quite disappointed in not being able to turn up a cache after a lengthy search.

LolosDream and I came out to look for this one. GPS never got closer than 9 feet. We found the empty worm container, several beer cans, and some other trash. The GPS kept putting us between the trail to walk in on and the fence. Not sure how big the replacement container is, or if it is inline with the original hint on the page or not, but we couldn't find it.

If there's a broken blue container at the cache site that's not it. It's there in perfect shape, but tucked away. Best of luck in the future!
