Out and about on a warm and sunny late spring day with "animjason" and "BearAdair" - this was the seventh of eleven geocaches that I found along the way - see the days grid on my stats page in my online profile for qualifications. TN-LN-SL. Thanks !

At a family gathering we heard one of our daughters talking about a unique cache container she and her husband had found. It was disguised as a chrysalis. We asked what she was talking about. It was geocaching. She and her husband explained it to us and we were immediately hooked! gamma remembers saying, “I want to try that!!” About a week before our anniversary that year, our two daughters and their families gave us a Geomate Jr., a small GPS with preloaded geocaches. On our 33rd anniversary that year we found our very first cache near our home in a field where we regularly ran our Yellow Lab. We have been caching ever since. At first, we were sporadic as gampa was still teaching school. Come school vacations and holidays and you would find us caching all day long. When school was in session, nada. Once gampa retired we started caching on a more regular basis. On 12 June 2019, the 43rd anniversary of our marriage and the 10th anniversary of geocaching, we found 10 caches in the Denver area to qualify for this challenge cache. We hope to still be caching strong in ten more years! Thanks for this fun challenge cache. Screen shot of our qualifiers is attached.

Signed today. Lets see if I can limit myself to 3 caches on next year's anniversary.

First geocache found: GC1173, Green Mountain 2, 07/23/01. So, I would need 18 geocaches. I have 20 for that date so I will claim those. The odds of me ever doing 20 geocaches in a day again is next to zero. On the date of my first geocache there were 64 geocaches in colorado. Usually got one per day and per week. I expected to get 30 total and be done with it. The geocache is still active. The following is my log from the date: " This was my first cache and the first use of the Garmin Venture. Standing at the cache the Venture read 7.8 feet. Not to shabby. The main trail is all up-hill. Some more up-hill than other. I guess the doc did a good job on my by-pass surgery as I made it OK. Box and contents were in good shape. Left a “gold” dollar, took nothing. Since I was heading downhill at the cache and the trail was pointing toward the car, I went that way. Well, it seemed like a good idea at the time. Actually, not too bad but very steep and rocky in places, and maybe half again farther." Yeah, I left a "gold" dollar in all of my early finds. There were no micros or nanos. Thanks - Jim and Audrey.

I started caching on 3/21/2010, 9 years ago. As of today, I have 9 total finds on that day which is the qualifying requirement for this cache.
A cold Friday here in Colorado called for a short walk in the open mesa area. I was on the phone with
5826 while arriving here and was surprised that the signal was able to last all the way up to the cache. I actually was surprised that I applied for this one, must have been a major coincidence that I had the exact number needed haha.
I was the only one here today and I understand why, it was chilly and even with the hat that I had on, my ears were cold by the end of the trip. I enjoyed walking out there alone and it was very peaceful getting out for a short while.
The last time that I was here, I was going for an FTF with
Atomic Corgi in a small blizzard. I enjoyed being here in better conditions. The hint still goes great with this one.
TFTC SL!

Nice ride out in the country although they were grading the road so it was bumpy. Found the bison without too much trouble. This is my 1 year anniversary so my cache for today is GC3FACB MARCH 25~Happy Birthday To Me!
If you read my profile you will find that I started doing this as a way to build my relationship with my then 16 year old youngest daughter. We found GC1MQQF Those Dam Micros! which is a regular container in a coffer dam on Piney Creek about 1/4 mile from our house. TFTC!

Several years ago I received a GPSr as a gift, but it was more complicated than I expected so I didn't use it. Two years ago I pulled it out determined to learn how to work it, found a cache and was hooked. Yesterday I found two caches for this anniversary cache and then today had a nice walk in this park to sign the log. Thanks for offering and maintaining this challenge cache.

I found this one last year but I didn't qualify so I didn't sign it. Today is my 2 year anniversary of my first find. After finding some other caches I had to come get this one! Even knowing where it was this is a challenge to find!
My husband learned about geocaching when he was a leader in our nephew's Boy Scout troop. It sounded like fun! After waiting for my husband a while I decided to try it on my own! I found one close to home and headed out. I haven't stopped since!
Thanks for this fun one that helps you remember the feeling of your first find!
My qualifying caches are;
GC28QCV Road Walking #4
GC2972C Road Walking #5
