Ever want to meet a moose, in person? This might just be your chance. This cache is located at the Moose Visitor Center at the Colorado State Forest. During visitor hours, there are experienced people who can assist you with any questions you might have about the area. There is even a board where people write their latest moose sightings.
The moose, also known as Alces alces, is the largest member of the deer family. Keep your distance! They can be aggressive if you get too close.
The D/T rating was chosen for those who visit in summer. Other times of the year this may be more difficult, or even impossible to access. This location is along a popular highway, however, it is at high elevation and a remote mountain location. Be prepared for ANY weather condition!
To qualify for this cache, you must send a message to me with the answer to the following:
1. On the sculpture's base, there is a small plaque with three names. Above the names is one word written in a unique font. What is that word? (Read it Carefully)
2. Include a photo with your log, doesn't need to include your face. A personal item will do. Additional photos of your moose sightings would be great!
Please do not put the answers in your log, even if encrypted.
