This cache is located near a place that we call "The Turtle Pond". It's official name is Overland Pond Park; but we call it "The Turtle Pond" because nine times out of ten when we are riding our bicycles past this place, there are turtles sunning themselves on one of the two fallen logs/trees in the pond. If you want to see the turtles, I recommend coming on a sunny day when the sun is high enough in the sky for them to bask in its rays and warm themselves (usually early to mid-morning in the summer and mid-morning in fall/spring). This cache doesn't have a pen so please bring your own. Enjoy this piece of nature along the Platte River Trail and if you see the turtles, feel free to post a picture!
