This holiday started as a day to reflect upon the heroism of those who died in our country's service and was originally called Armistice Day. It fell on Nov. 11 because that is the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I. However, in 1954, the holiday was changed to "Veterans Day" in order to account for all veterans in all wars.

Join us at McDonalds, 2750  W 104th Ave, Federal Heights, CO, from 8:30AM to 9:30AM, Friday, Nov 11th for coffee, laughter, and geocaching camaraderie.  Small TBs for discovery or moving on are always welcome.  McDonalds sells food and beverages for your consumption, but purchase is not required to attend. Come on out, we love to see new cachers and seasoned cachers.  All are welcome.  Not required to be a veteran to attend.  Childrens playground area is open.
