What a fun hike in an amazing area. Thanks so much for bringing me here. My black lab Usher and I really enjoyed the hike. Temperature was about 48° but the winds were gusting over 40 mph. The views were wonderful. Thanks for a fun virtual!

TFTEC. What a great area. We came here late in the afternoon when the light on the rocks was spectacular.

After dropping Mrs. scary off at the airport, slojak064 and I launched our 3 day 3 state road trip by driving to an old Virtual in Loveland and picking up a couple more before turning in for the night.

This was our primary target for the afternoon as it fills in another Jazmer block for me. What a nice hike and views in the late afternoon with the sun beginning to set over the Rockies. The changing light colors and reflections from the Spine's rocks and the nearby hills were simply spectacular.

We gathered the information and I sent our version of the answers to the CO along with a pic of the Key Hole at sunset.

Love these old ones and the hikes to new places. Gets a FAV from me! TFTVC!

Even though the wind was picking up, it was a nice afternoon for a hike. I managed to get to the Keyhole without coordinates, and did enjoy the view. Thanks for offering this virtual, Tahosa. Email sent.

Colorado Road Trip!

Headed out for a long weekend road trip with a small number of hand picked caches. I headed south to Topeka and then to Colorado Springs, next to Cheyenne and Rapid City before heading home. I camped most of the way when I could find campgrounds. The scenery was incredible and the hikes in the mountains worth the trip. All these caches made the trip worth every minute!

The CO and Son met me in the parking lot on a very sunny warm day. Grabbed my gear and two bottles on water. We talked for a bit and I logged his TBs. Next we all walked out about a 1/4 of a mile. They told me about the trails and the local hikes. Next I headed off alone and walked to the keyhole. There was a very nice family there from Portland who came by train. It was nice and shady here so it was nice to get out of the sun for a bit. I took a few pictures and explored a bit. It looks like the trail continues on for a long ways. Someday I'll be back for a longer hike! Thanks for meeting me here Joe! Very nice to meet you both!

Thanks Tahosa and Sons for the cache!

Taking a Cacher from Wisconsin on a cache tour today. And this is a good cache to pass along a special trackable that I have held way way too long.

Tried to complete this with Penhead63 on Mother's Day, but found the numbered posts were missing. We did find the bridges, the canal, and the Keyhole. We guessed as best as we could as to where the posts may have originally been, and Penhead63 sent the details in an email for both of us. Beautiful area, and TFTC!

We did this one yesterday, but it appears that all the numbered posts are no longer there. Based on a couple of pics that show the number 6 post up at the Keyhole, that post is gone. We saw no others on our way up. We took coordinates at the bridges and at some trail markers, but none of the trail markers were numbered. Hopefully this counts for the smiley.

kalBB8, kal2D2, penguin and I completed the hike but poor signal prevented full download of the required information. It's a great hike and I'll gladly return to get the smiley.
