A preform is a soda bottle before it becomes a soda bottle. Soda bottles are typically made in another facility from where they are filled. In order to reduce the cost of transport, a preform is created from all the plastic required of a full size bottle. At the bottling plant, the preforms are heated and blown into full size bottles.

There is no need to bring your geo-pen as each preform is just large enough to fit a pencil. However, your geo-tweezers may come in handy depending on how far the last geocacher pushed in the log.

Thought it was in the neighbors yard!!! it took me a little bit, but found it. I would recommend bringing tweezers as the paper is a little tough to get out.
