After finding the nearby cache we headed over here and started scratching around. Since this hasn’t been found since the beginning of winter we wondered if events such as the blizzard had possibly taken its toll on the cache. I confirmed with a previous finder what we were looking for & returned with a TOTT that would help us go deeper but still no success. I will wait until a new find or a CO check up before I return.

Looked for a quick moment but had to exit the area. Some people don’t post their DNF’s (that’s cool) but I do. Will return to this cache.

This one has driven us crazy for a month ! So glad it has now been found, We have been here on cold nights, sunny days and everything in between. We always had the right idea but just could never spot it. Happy to turn our frown into a smiley. Good job Rohatx.

[FTF] (finally) around 1:35 pm. This one gave me fits! I have searched for this 4 times, but only logged one DNF. I don't want the reviewers to think it was missing due to my incompetence.
Yesterday I spoke with @animjason about forming a search party for this beast. I have literally searched on my hands and knees in the past. So, the more the merrier. Our tribe consisted of @bhob @animjason little bear @2lablovers and @WindAtMyBack . Now remember, I have about 5 hours of search time on this cache already. So, of course, eagle eye (I won't mention his name, but it begins and ends with B) spots it within minutes.
Let me list a few reasons this one is getting a fav:
1. I pulled out the last 8 hairs on my head looking for it.
2. I've had the repeated pleasure of failing with friends here.
3. The container is awesome.
4. The clue is awesome.
5. The placement is SUPER difficult.
So, if I could, I would give it 5 stars. But given my limitations, it only gets one - 4 less than it deserves.
One more thing... this is a sort of anniversary cache. #4,400. Thanks for all the fun @Rohatx

Yay for co-FTF. Better log this evening!

I was needing a December FTF, and LostinDenver mentioned this tough cache. We decided to come try this one today. Bhob and I had a really good idea what the container would be based on the area. The hints on the cache page, combined with our theory, made for a pretty quick find of this near impossible evil hide. Definitely don't bother when the snow flies lol!

Thanks for the variety and evilness in this park. I struck out on one, and will be back. At least we got to see a Muskrat up close at that one. Thanks, gets a fave!
