Too much snow for first stage if it is still here
08/09/2018 By safechrisLaurie
I knew this one was a long shot. I was only visiting this park today and some of the logs suggested that the final was NOT located here. But...that didn't stop me from looking.
After enjoying the butterflies along the trail, the cool windmill and horse dedication, I finally got off the main trail to check out this neat little area.
Definitely a cool spot for a GZ, but really, I had no idea what I was looking for. Checked out some nooks and crannies, but came up empty.
Oh well, I did enjoy the views along the way. I did enjoy the big paw prints in the mud. I am thinking NOT dog since I couldn't find any claw marks. Any thoughts what made the big tracks?
Thanks for the adventure!

I found the first waypoint, but had "sticker shock" when I saw the second waypoint was over 14 miles away. I'll put this one on pause for now.

Thanks for this fantastic and challenging Multi-Cache! I started this one a week or so ago and worked through all the stages and puzzles. I had a hangup at stage 3 and needed to get some help. Crumbcrunchers sent me the puzzle. I'll go back and replace and or do a more thorough search at that location. Stage 5 was a bit of a head scratcher at first, but again with some help looking at it with Crumbcrunchers we figured it out! Sneaky, but great! It was too dark that night to continue so today after work I made the climb up to the final. After a bit of searching I was able to track down the final and sign the log. I'm a big fan of this cache! I enjoyed every bit of it from start to finish! Well done! Thanks for taking the time to create and place this one!

Did great with the traditionals in this park today. The multis not so much. I could not even find the first stage of this one. After reading the accounts of others, I don't think I could have finished this in the short time I have here anyway.

Would you believe it has taken me over 11 years to finally complete this cache! Yes, I found WP 1 & 2 in 2004, then a big gap for WP 3 which I finally went for either in 09 or possibly 2013, my notes are hard to decipher. I looked at this again a couple of weeks ago & thought I still needed to go to WP 3 but then in going through my notes better I realized not only did I have that puzzle, but had solved it & had coordinates for WP 4. I had never been in that area before so I planned a hike there, found WP 4 & 5, but got stumped on that puzzle. I decided to contact a previous finder/maintainer because the CO is no longer active. I got the info I needed-how to solve the puzzle, but also coordinates to the newer location of the final. I decided to use the solved coordinates & see if I could find the cache. I searched for about 15 minutes with no luck, so I went ahead & plugged in the supplied coordinates and it took me right to the cache, but then as I was there my GPS bounced around and the original coordinates from the puzzle were just a bit better.

I started this one back in 07 and then restarted it a few years later and maybe again a year or two after that.
I wanted to get a nice hike in this morning before the snow started.
Been saving this one for one of those days.
Thanks for a fun oldie!

I started this one years ago and didn't get very far. I was in the area of the first stage recently and decided to give it another go. It went fairly quickly this time but I did have to do some copious forehead smacking after I got help on one of the clues. I have seen that before but it just didn't occur to me this time. All the stages are in place and ready to be found. The listed TB was not in the cache. TFTC

Picked up S1 last weekend, and then this weekend went after S2. Had no trouble finding S2, but it seems something may be missing from the cache... like clues as to how to decode the coordinates. C'est la vie.

Spent an afternoon hiking in and around this park. Thanks for the nice variety of caches and great multi caches!

We went out caching for the day with imyy4u2 in our new Jeep. We were primarily after the Slender multi-cache, but after hitting a few snags along the way, we started getting a few other caches.
imyy4u2 had previously worked this multi-cache through all the stages except the final. We "cached in" on their hard work and joined them for the find. Awesome view from up here.
This is day 512 of our current daily caching streak. Thanks for helping to extend it by another day.
TFTC!
