Wow, the road into this general area is rough! High clearance is needed just to get to the picnic shelters. No problem finding this cache. I had no idea how to get close to the month of November, though.

NDOkie has used Project-GC to see if they qualified for this challenge and they did.

I finally qualified for this one last month so I've been wanting to find it for the past few weeks. It was perfect fall weather with a clear sky and mild temps, great time to head out here. I had to borrow my friends high clearance truck to drive down this road though. It was a beautiful drive as I approached GZ from the west and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the mountains. Even though there were some hairy spots on the drive, that old ford made it just fine. This was my first time in Temple Canyon so it was an awesome experience to say the least. I parked as close to GZ as I could then used the last remaining daylight to quickly make the find. Thank you 9-rushman and farmgirl79 for showing me another great spot! I will surely return! TNLNSL. I'm finally down to 4 days left in October and today was one of them. After finishing September I figured this would be the perfect cache to complete another calendar day. So after work I headed up here. Last time we were up Section 13 we took 9th and were stopped by construction and had to circle back around to 1st. This time I took 1st and the detour took me right back to 9th and Oak Creek Grade. The construction had Valley and Mariposa closed. After driving around aimlessly for awhile trying to get over to Temple Canyon Road I finally spotted a dirt road off of Wild Rose and used it to cut by the radio tower and back onto Temple. Once on Temple I never passed a single other vehicle until the pavilion right before GZ. Upon parking at the Temple Trailhead lot my map vanished and my GPS froze at 143 meters. Spent 45 minutes scouring the area until I stumbled upon the container. Great spot for a cache! Makes me wanna hike to the Temple again. Found a pathtag and signed the log. Then spent awhile taking some photos. Lots of (or just one following me around) jackrabbits running around here. I always enjoy the views back here. Favorite point for sure. You weren't kidding about the cactus! All shapes and sizes. Thanks for the excuse to wander around out here.
