I pecked this nice cache up while on my way to attend the GC7J49C Seventh Annual Columbine Open Space Clean-up BONUS south of Castle Rock. I have never been on this trail before, so I was happy to explore it today. I was surprised how quickly the trail transitioned from paved, neighborhood trail to steep-cliff canyon. Like others, I had to cross the canyon at a less than optimal spot in order to get close to the GZ in order to begin the hunt. I was happy to find a negotiable spot on each side of the canyon to faciliatate the crossing. I spent allot of time enjoying the view, so I was happy to make the find on this one without any drama. Along the way I spied something that gave me bad cache ideas. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find and giving me an excuse to explore this cool place, TFTC.

2nd cache while out exploring with the pups today. I know my own pup and could trust him. The dog I am taking care of decided to take off after a bunny and I thought for sure we were going to have to report a lost dog. Luckily he came back after a while. Signed the log and headed for the next cache. Thanks!

It’s funny how there are only 4 other signatures on the log since 2014 despite the number of digital logs.
I walked right by it initially. Once the god settled, it was a fast find. Nice spot!
