I pecked this nice cache up while on my way to attend the GC7J49C Seventh Annual Columbine Open Space Clean-up BONUS south of Castle Rock. I have never been on this trail before, so I was happy to explore it today. I was surprised how quickly the trail transitioned from paved, neighborhood trail to steep-cliff canyon. Like others, I had to cross the canyon at a less than optimal spot in order to get close to the GZ in order to begin the hunt. I was happy to find a negotiable spot on each side of the canyon to faciliatate the crossing. I spent allot of time enjoying the view, so I was happy to make the find on this one without any drama. Thanks to the CO for placing this nice cache for everyone to find and giving me an excuse to explore this cool place, TFTC.

I'm impressed Rohatx came at this one from across the canyon! I was hoping to do the same and make a loop. Get the ones on this side of the canyon and then cross and take the Mitchell trial back to the car. Definitely not possible with 2 dogs in tow. Looks like a fun route though! Tftc!

I came from duck and cover straight across the canyon. With the new snow on the ground and freezing temperature, I made this extremely challenging trying to reach this far and away place. I found a shelter with a stone and cement fireplace just below the cliff on the way up. Made the find, signed the log and continued on. Thank you for the placement. TNLNSL
