Yes, a co-FTF with Colorado Columbine! After it was placed over four years ago!
We have thought about trying this one for a while and finally got on the trail to go get it. The 7.5 mile (round trip) hike up the stream bed was really scenic with steep slopes and rock walls all around. There was a fair amount of exposure involved with the find, but the views from this vantage point were worth every mile. Not your ordinary drive up cache!
Thanks Adrenalin Junkie for bringing us here and the challenge on a beautiful afternoon!

WhooHoo! FTF with Wild Columbine at 1:58 pm today, April 9,2016. Perfect day for a 7 1/2 mile RT beautiful Fremont County Hike!
Had lunch while admiring the view from just below GZ (see photo). Also saw the first pasqueflower of our hiking season (see photo). This is geocaching at its best for the hike, the scenery, the challenge of getting to GZ, and to find the "treasure" (actually that was a bit disappointing so took nothing but left two small trinkets one of which reminds us to say nice things to people we care about).
Thanks for the cache adventure!

Well as of today it is still there, within 5 feet of GZ. As you get within 230 feet look up for the natural arch and then start heading up towards GZ at a good angle. It will be a challenge to get to the top so watch your step.

This was my first attempt at this cache. Made the hike with Big Beautiful World and what a hike it was. Ended up parking further away than I wanted to but BLM had the gate locked. Our hike started at about 11 am. We ended up going up thru the creek. There was also an old road that hasn't been used in a long time. The ankle deep snow made for a tiring hike and it was also difficult to see the rocks under the snow. Got to ground zero and the GPS was bouncing all over. I climbed all over the rocks and found nothing butthe snow made it harder to locate the cache. The wind started kicking up and the sun was going down behind the mountain so the temperature started dropping. we looked for probably about an hour and decided it wa time to head back. We will be back to try again probably in the spring time. I would like to drive my jeep up this ald road. Got back to the parking area around 4:30 p.m. We hiked a totall of 9.0 miles. Even thogh we didn't find the cache it was a good hike. Also saw lots a PVC pipe partially buried with water running through it. I told BBw that I still think it was up on the top.

OK took the challenge of this cache and came up empty. I thought for sure we would find this one. We may need a little clue on this one. I do not want to say to much here in case some actually try to find this cache besides us. L It really is in the middle of no where!! We will be back as my wife has an idea for a cache up here. The Hike was WONDERFUL!!!
