Dogs  Thorns  Watch for livestock

You have to cross over a small piece of land on the start of the main trail. From there it's pretty straight forward. FTF gets a small container for a geocache.

I had some time off yesterday so I went looking for caches, parked at the lot and had a brief visit with $rustyjones$ who was grabbing the nearby cache. Then I bucked the cold hurricane wind to the treeline and then wandered through the woods 'til I found it. My GPS has the co-ordinates about 29 feet off, but the clue made it an easy find. I agree with room1009 one hundred percent. I found his cache in this area in the springtime and the bugs and tangled underbrush made the journey an ordeal.

It was too nice a day to pass up taking a walk along the river, so I added this one to the itinerary. Thanks for placing a cache for us to enjoy finding.

[FTF] at 7:30 am. My body is still on daylight savings time and I woke up at 6:00 am. After making coffee, working the daily crossword, and eating breakfast the sun came up and I remembered I had seen a new cache publish last night. I grabbed Bandit and headed out to the River Walk. I was just down here two days ago. In fact I saw you and your dad carrying something that I thought would make a good cache container, but I didn't realize who it was at the time. I've very familiar with this area so I had no problem getting to the cache area. After looking in 2 or 3 spots I finally zeroed in on the container. That's when I realized who I had seen carrying this. I signed the FTF spot on the log, added several swag items and my Celtic Knot Geocoin. I left the FTF prize for someone else since I already have several similar cache containers.

Great cache placement! I'm a little surprised another cache could squeeze in here. This is a great time of the year to hunt in this area. In the summer the mosquitoes will be thick, poison ivy will be growing, and homeless muggles will be camping nearby. But I think the location is safe as long as people remember to bark at the container. Thanks for the new hide!
