My second placement dedicated to the men and women who braved the unforgiving alpine gold country in persuit of precious metals and a different life. They wrestled the earth - Sometimes they won, often times they lost.

Kingston was another satellite town on the fringe of the Pine Creek Mining District. Almost nothing remains beyond the tailings piles and test pits surrounding the area. Just up the road at Ghost Cache 5 are the remains of the Hotel and scant evidence of other structures. Look north from this cache and you will see hundreds of stumps where the areas trees were harvested for buildings, mine shorings, and firewood. What few trees remain are all bent front the constant wind coming down from the peaks.

The Cache is a cmao'ed pill bottle attached to one of these wind swept trees

Congratulations to UteFish for FTF and CowwFace for STF! Nice job for getting this cache that has remained untouched since placement for 7 months and 14 days!

Didn't have description and looked in every nook and cranny that we could find. Looked at the trees too but apparently not hard enough. Maybe get another ride up here before snow builds up too much.

My brother Flyingbug & I searched for this with no luck. We did not have the description or hint loaded so we gave up. It may be our last trip of the year up here. TFTC
