This cache is hidden in Mount Galbraith Open Space Park a little ways up a side trail off the Nightbird Gulch Trail. This is the first in a second set of caches in this series which are all along trails in open space areas west and southwest of Denver.

The cache is very near a high point so there are some terrific views. It is just under 2 miles from the provided trail head. In that 2 miles, you will climb about 900 feet. I have also provided a waypoint for where you should turn off the main trail to head up to the cache area.

On the inside of the lid of you will find the name of an animal that you should make note of because it will be important for solving a puzzle in a later cache in the series.

Beware of rattlesnakes in snake season!
Oh, and bring your own pen.

With the recent DNFs I went to check on this today and sure enough it was missing. I replaced it with a similar container nearby.

I usually don't jump to conclusions after a DNF, but I think this may be missing. We found what looked to be a very obvious GZ but it was empty. We then searched in a bunch of places all around where the GPS took us with no luck. Almost positive we found GZ but no cache. CO may want to take a look. Thanks.

Gave this one a GOOD search but no find. Definitely found where GZ should have been but no container. We then broadened our search but all the previous logs said it was a fairly easy find and no one mentioned the coords being off. Hoping this cache is here but didn't make the find today.

There is an easier way to get to the cache then I did but I had fun getting there. Quick find. Traded some toys and SL. Thanks.

I hadn't hiked this trail since 2009. At each switchback I thought I had topped out but hadn't. I left the trail too early and bushwhacked to the top. Lots of trades in the cache. L: koozie

Made the climb up here from the east TH. Not sure which is harder but it's a climb! Glad to get another clue in the series. Left a St Paddys Day button & took the Horse & Dragon brewing co sticker. Maybe I'll get there some day.
